Rumford PD Honor Guard


Corporal Matthew Noyes was hired by the Rumford Police Department in March of 2005.
Matthew was promoted from Patrolman to the rank of Corporal in September 2008.
A former United States Marine, Cpl. Noyes began his Law Enforcement career working
for the Androscoggin County Sheriff's Department. While at the Sheriff's Department
he attended the Basic Corrections Academy, Field Training Officer School, and the
Law Enforcement Pre-Service Academy. A short time after completing the Pre-Service Academy,
he was hired as a part-time police officer for the Dixfield Police Department.
Within two months of working part-time for the Dixfield Police, Matt was offered
a full time position which he accepted. Matt went on to graduate from the 18 week,
7th Basic Law Enforcement Training Program where he was selected to be in the Honor Guard.
Shortly after his graduation, he was offered a position with the Rumford Police
Department. In addition to his patrol and supervisory duties, Cpl. Noyes is the
Rumford Police Department Honor Guard Detail Leader.

In June 2008 Corporal Noyes served as a Cadre for the 2008 Explorer Academy, held at the
Maine Criminal Justice Academy in Vasselboro.
